Nonogram the rules
▶ Play NonogramFill the squares the numbers ask for and a picture appears. Every puzzle here can be solved by logic alone, one line at a time — no guessing.
Reading the numbers
Each row has numbers on the left, each column numbers on top. A number is a run of filled squares in a row, and the runs come in that order (left to right, top to bottom). Between two runs there is at least one empty square. 0 means the line is empty.
Trick 1: the overlap
In a line of 10, a run of 8 fits in three places — but wherever it starts, it always covers the middle 6 squares. So fill those. The same works for any run longer than half the line, and for several runs together.
Trick 2: cross what is empty
When a line's runs are all in place, the rest of it is empty: cross those squares (right click, or the ✕ tool). Crosses are only notes for you, but they make the next lines easier. A line with 0 is all crosses.
Trick 3: work back and forth
Every square you fill or cross in a row tells you something about its column, and the other way round. Go through the rows, then the columns, then the rows again. When a line's numbers fade, that line is right.
The puzzle of the day
Three puzzles a day — Easy 10 × 10, Medium 15 × 15, Hard 20 × 20 — the same for every logged-in member (guests get puzzles of their own, without times); they change at midnight, Swedish time. Logged in with Discord, the time from opening a puzzle to solving it counts for today's list, and solving at least one each day keeps your streak. You can also practise with a new puzzle every time.
