Privacy Policy
HAKOObot ยท Last updated: 12 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data HAKOObot (the "Bot") accesses, how it is used, and
your choices. The Bot is operated for the [HAKOO] World of Tanks clan and the WoT Tracker
website at hakoo.eu.
1. Data we access
When added to a Discord server, the Bot reads the server's member list via Discord's API. For
each member this may include:
- Discord user ID
- Username and global display name
- Server (guild) nickname
- Avatar image reference (avatar hash / URL)
The Bot does not read, collect, or store the content of any messages, voice activity, or
direct messages.
2. How we use it
This information is used solely to match Discord members to their World of Tanks players and to
display their avatars within WoT Tracker. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any
unrelated purpose.
3. Storage and retention
- The Bot keeps a short-lived cache (names and avatar URLs) on the hakoo.eu server, refreshed
periodically (approximately every 30 minutes) and overwritten on each refresh.
- Avatar images themselves are served directly from Discord's own content delivery network
(cdn.discordapp.com); we do not host copies.
- If the Bot is removed from a server, it stops accessing that server's data and the cached
data is discarded on the next refresh.
- HAKOO Games โ Gomoku, Chess, Othello, Hnefatafl, Stratego, Backgammon, Checkers, Nine Men's Morris, Ludo and Yatzy: to let people play together, hakoo.eu stores each game's moves (in Backgammon, Ludo and Yatzy also the dice) and the
player names you type in (optional; you can leave them empty). We store no account, no IP
address and no cookie for this. Your link to a game contains a random key that only your
browser knows; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of it. Games are deleted 30 days after
the last move.
- Game rewards (optional): if you are logged in with Discord when you start a game against
the computer, we link that game to your Discord ID and record your first win on each level
(Easy, Medium, Hard) and the look you choose on your profile, for each game, the move speed and how you roll the dice if you change them, and the choices of your last Ludo and Yatzy games
on a game page or your profile (one setting for all board games; not logged in, they are not stored). Members who won on Hard get a
crown on their avatar on HAKOO Community; you can hide it on your profile. This is part of
"Download my data" and "Delete all my data" on your profile.
- Nonogram: playing stores nothing; the puzzle you are solving is kept in the page address only.
If you are logged in with Discord, we record your first solved puzzle on each level and your look (as for
the board games), and for the puzzle of the day when you opened it and solved it, the time, and your
Discord name. Logged-in members see the day's list of names and times; your streak is counted from your
own days. These records are deleted after 400 days, and with "Delete all my data".
- Sudoku and Owldoku: the same as Nonogram. In Owldoku every owl you place is sent to the server to be
checked (where on the board, nothing else); for the puzzle of the day, if you are logged in, we also count your
wrong owls (the hearts you lost). Crosses and Sudoku notes never leave your browser.
- Your profile (logged in only): we keep your Discord name and picture as at your last login, so the members list
shows who you are. Your profile (your name, picture and title, the games you have won against the computer, your Runborg
wins and your puzzle streaks and best times) is seen by the HAKOO admins, and by the other logged-in members only if you
choose to show it (profile โ Who sees your profile; hidden until you do). Your linked game accounts show on it only if you
choose that too. Visitors who are not logged in never see it.
- Your viking (logged in only): the choices for the viking you make on your profile, and whether it replaces your
Discord picture in the login corner. It shows wherever your profile shows, and at the Runborg table.
- The players on HAKOO Games (logged in only): the logged-in members see a list of the members who have logged in
to play: the name, title and viking, and, when one is clicked, the viking with the puzzle medals. The rest of the profile
shows under it only if that member shows their profile. Only members who have played here are in it. Names
are shown in their colour on the HAKOO Discord server; those colours and names are read from Discord and kept
for 10 minutes at most. On a puzzle's page the list is today's puzzlers instead: the logged-in members see who
has opened today's puzzle of the day, with their times today and yesterday, their days in a row and how many
they have solved. Your rank shows by your name in the list: a Viking or Shieldmaiden if you pay the ordinary fee, a
Jarl if you pay VIP, and nothing if you play for free unless you pick Farmer or Soldier (the HAKOO admins set
what you pay; you pick on your profile). You
can leave the list (profile โ Who sees your profile).
Visitors who are not logged in see a made-up sample, never a member.
- Runborg: the game is kept on hakoo.eu (the cards, the moves, who won) so the other side cannot see your hand,
and the page address holds your key to it; it is deleted 30 days after the last move. Against another player, they
see the name you play under (your Discord name if you are logged in); a challenge is posted by the HAKOO bot in the
HAKOO Discord with both names. If you are logged in, we also
keep which opponents you have beaten on which board, and the title you choose to show by your name (it is shown to
other members on the puzzle lists). "Delete all my data" removes it all.
- Reporting a problem (logged in only): what you write in the "๐ Report a problem" form, the kind of
problem, and (unless you untick it) the page address without the part after '#', your browser, system and screen
size, and error messages the page had, are posted with your Discord name by the HAKOO bot in the HAKOO Discord
channel #reports-from-hakoo-eu, where the team reads it. hakoo.eu keeps no copy; it only remembers for a day when
you last sent one (at most five an hour). The post stays in Discord until the team deletes it: ask us there.
- Saved games (logged in only): we keep a copy of the games you finish against the computer (the
game in which you first beat it on a level for good), and of games you play against another logged-in member
(both of you get a copy: the moves, the names you both typed in and the result). The latest 100 games against
the computer and the latest 100 against members are kept, plus the ones you star; you can delete any of them
under "My games" on your profile. They are part of "Download my
data". "Delete all my data" deletes your copies; in the other player's copy of a game you played
together, your name is replaced by "Deleted player".
- Blockdoku: every game is kept on our server while it is played (the board, the blocks in hand, the
score), found again by a random code in your browser's address (we keep only a scrambled copy of it). A
guest's game has no name and shows as "Anonymous" in the day's high scores; a logged-in member's game has
their Discord id and the Discord name they had when they started it, shown to other logged-in members in
the list. Games are deleted 30 days after the last move; the first three of each day are kept, so the
colours they won stay theirs. They are part of "Download my data" and go with "Delete all my data".
- Path of Berserk: the fight is played in your browser, and our server starts and times every run and
counts its score. For the month's and the year's lists we keep each run: when it began and ended, what it
reached and the score, and a scrambled copy of the run's code. A logged-in member's run also has their
Discord id and the Discord name they had when they began it, shown to other logged-in members in the lists;
a guest's run has no name or id and shows as "Anonymous". The first three members of each month and year
and a member's totals (runs, wins, best score) are kept for the rewards. Runs are deleted 400 days after they
began. They are part of "Download my data" and go with "Delete all my data". If you change the keys you play
with (โจ๏ธ Change keys) and press Save, they are kept with your Discord ID when you are logged in, so they are the
same on every device; as a guest your browser keeps them (local storage, never sent to us). Default keys
removes them.
- Reminders (optional, logged in only): if you turn them on under "Reminders" on your profile, we keep
which puzzles of the day you want to be reminded of, at what times, your time zone (from your browser), and
whether the bot pings you in the channel #reminders-spams on the HAKOO Discord or sends you a direct message.
The bot only sends you direct messages after you have ticked that you agree to it, and we keep when you did.
The bot looks whether you have solved the day's puzzles, so nothing is sent on a day you have, unless you
chose to be reminded every day (we keep that choice too). Choosing the
ping or Off takes the agreement back; "Delete all my data" deletes the reminders. They are part of
"Download my data".
- Appearance (optional): if you save a theme, colours, a background of several colours or a background pattern under โ โ ๐จ Appearance,
your browser keeps it (local storage, never sent to us). If you are logged in, we also keep it with your
Discord ID so it follows you to your other devices. It is part of "Download my data" and "Delete all my data";
"Reset to default" removes it.
- Ludo choices (optional): logged in, the choices of your last Ludo game (colour, players, computer level, the name you typed,
rules) are kept with your Discord ID so the next game starts with them. Not logged in, your browser keeps them (local storage,
never sent to us) only if you tick "Remember my choices on this device"; untick it to remove them.
- Yatzy choices (optional): the same for your last Yatzy game (players, computer level, the name you typed, the order of
the rows): logged in, kept with your Discord ID so they follow you to your other devices; not logged in, kept in your browser
only if you tick "Remember my choices on this device".
4. Sharing
We do not sell or share this data with third parties. Data is processed only to provide the
avatar feature described above. Discord processes the underlying data under its own
Privacy Policy.
5. Your choices
- Leaving the Discord server, or having the Bot removed from it, stops any further access to
your data.
